I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
